The Xaar Irix Core 40W printhead with a light grey insulator is suitable for a wide range of oil, solvent and water based ink systems. This printhead serves as a direct replacement for the discontinued Xaar XP12800007 and XP12800009 heads, and can be used instead of can be used instead of XP12800074, offering identical performance, quality and printer compatibility. No firmware changes are required in the printer software either. The ink connections on the Xaar 128 and Xaar Irix are 3.1 mm in diameter, therefore the recommendation for the tubing is for 3mm ID tubing. The exact choice of tubing would depend upon the inks you are using.

- defects related to misuse, abuse, accident, neglect, lack of use, or improper storage when not in use for extended periods
- defects related to failure to perform periodic maintenance as specified in the user documentation; operation for unintended purposes
- defects related to improper loading of media
- all other defects, failures or damage not considered manufacturing defects
- defects related to third-party applications, software, parts, components, or peripheral devices, including any bulk ink system.
- defects that are merely cosmetic in nature.
