Description
These are the original genuine Roland inks, not a compatible alternative. TR2 is Roland's own eco-solvent ink for the TrueVis VG3 and SG3 series, formulated exclusively for those machines. It delivers a wide colour gamut, strong scratch resistance and reliable adhesion across coated and uncoated media, with three years of outdoor durability unlaminated.
Where TR2 stands apart is colour accuracy. The Orange configuration extends the gamut into the oranges and reds that conventional CMYK struggles to hit, which is what makes it a serious option for logo and corporate branding work. Roland's colour library for VersaWorks 6 adds around 130 spot colours built around Orange, so matching a brand colour becomes a selection rather than a negotiation.
The True Rich Color preset handles the rest: neutral greys, smooth gradations and natural skin tones, without flattening the vibrancy that sells a graphic across a room.
Practically, TR2 is GREENGUARD Gold UL 2818 certified, virtually odourless, and needs no special ventilation or extraction, so it works in an open production space. Prints are ready to apply after six hours, which makes same-day installation realistic rather than aspirational.
