Description
The Epson DX4 is the original fourth-generation micro-piezo printhead for Roland, Mutoh, and Mimaki eco-solvent, mild solvent, UV, and aqueous wide-format printers. Delivered in a sealed Roland original package, each head comes with the Roland original head ID, essential for printer recognition and correct firmware operation.
The DX4 has a native resolution of 360 dpi, 2 nozzle lines corresponding to 2 independent ink channels, and 180 nozzles per line. It operates at a typical firing frequency of 8 kHz with a minimum droplet size of 3.5 picolitres, and can be configured for either 1 colour through both channels or 2 colours through the independent channels.
Roland part numbers: 1000002201 / 22805470 / 6000005213. Mutoh part number: DF-49733 / DG-42386. Mimaki part number: M004905.
Important note for VersaUV users: the 6000005180 DX4 gold printhead is the recommended option for VersaUV printers, however the standard 6000005213 can also be used with firmware 1.4 or higher. All printheads installed in the same printer must be identical, a mixed configuration of standard and gold DX4 heads will not function properly.
